Heyyyyyy!! Thanks so much for taking the time to drop by and visit...I really appreciate it! I'm sure you're wondering how I came up with
the name for my blog? You can read ALL about that HERE. This blog is all about inspiring YOU to live the best possible life you can!! You'll also notice my tagline "DOING YOU WELL" everywhere on the blog. Why "doing you well", you ask...because, regardless of what anyone tells us, we'll never live out our dreams OR live our lives to the fullest until we've mastered "doing ourselves well"!
I started blogging because I really get a kick out encouraging and loving on people! Growing up as a middle child who always thought of herself as the “ugly” duckling, the one lost in the shadows and the proverbial “black sheep”…I know how cruel life can be or the perception of life; as the enemy has shown us. While growing up and as an adult, I always felt the need to “belong”, to feel a part of something, to be needed. As many women do, I was always comparing myself to others…"if I could only do what so and so does, or if I only looked like so and so…life would be so much better". Not until I truly accepted God’s love for me, did I realize I was perfect just the way I was(in Christ Jesus). My mission and passion is helping women discover who they are in Christ and how Christ sees them…in their FINISHED state! We should master the fine line of...never being satisfied with remaining the same (we should every day strive to become more and more Christ-like) and not beating ourselves up when we miss the mark! My purpose for blogging is to have an avenue to reach as many women as possible. The.internet.is.AMAZING...don't you agree! I make it a point in life to reach out to women, letting them know just how important they are! Yes, we all BELONG! Sisterhood and community are two things that make women strive, for we were never meant to be an island, we were never meant to be isolated. We were meant to do this thing called life TOGETHER! My mission is to encourage and challenge women to “do themselves well”. If we do “ourselves” well, when we come together; we’re able to accomplish more because everyone has mastered their role. Yes, we all can copy someone else, but until we’ve mastered doing ourselves well, we will always fall short of what God intended!
I've been married to my wonderful husband Todd, a pastor, for over 26 years. I've worked alongside him in ministry for over 19 years. We have raised three beautiful children: Kerington, Joel and Blake, who work with us full-time in ministry, along with our son-in-law wonderful Allyn. I am most grateful that God chose the perfect family for ME! I marvel at the fact that I AM His "beloved" and His mercies are new for ME EVERY morning! WOW! I'm humbled every time I think about that! I strive to get out of life EVERYTHING I POSSIBLY CAN and I challenge you to do the same! I love spending time with my family, doing the simple things in life; playing board games, competing in a good game of Jeopardy, playing badminton or volleyball in the backyard, going out or just sitting around picking each others' brains(whether it's life in general, politics, sports, pop culture, the Word, the state of our country and world)...anything, you name it, we discuss it! I guess you've kind of figured we just love being around each other, huh?! I also love my church family and my extended family and I'm game for some good food and fellowship at the drop of a hat! I'm also a lover of good music...any genre, as long as it's good. I'm an avid reader and it would probably take me a LIFETIME to read everything on my Kindle. If I could sit and read all day...I probably would! Did I mention that sweet potato pie is my absolute favorite dessert?! I only have it during the holidays though, otherwise, I'd eat it for breakfast, lunch, dinner and snacks in between! I love all things Paris and I also interior decorate on the side! If I just happen to get the decorating bug, I've been known to redo an entire room in a day!

My husband and I have pioneered two ministries: Grace Covenant
Worship Center in Elkton, MI and Word Empowerment International in Columbia, SC. I established "Women of
Excellence" ministries over 19 years ago and my passion is teaching and
mentoring women. I'm devoted to encouraging and inspiring women to biblically
love themselves so they can accurately show others the love of Christ. My areas of specialty are family, marriage and women's issues. Hopefully
my experiences in using the wisdom of God - to raise my children, to assist me
in being a helpmeet to my husband and for the most part, in establishing good
friendships - will encourage you to live your life as God intended and lead you to and keep you on the road to "doing you well"! This life
is NOT always easy, but if we apply God's wisdom to every situation - we're
sure to make the journey a GREAT one! Happy reading!
