Today, October 30^th, is a bittersweet day for my family and I. One year ago today my husband lost his best friend and our children lost their god-father, Gary Ward Crawford, after only a three month battle with cancer. This week my lovely mother would have celebrated her 70^th birthday. I think it’s ironic that over the past few weeks I have come across so many people who have told me how special my mother was to their lives. The essence of friendship...

My blog post is a little different this week. In memory of my husband’s best friend and our children’s god-father (who passed away last week), I wrote this letter to him as a tribute to his friendship and wanted to share it.
