Today, October 30th, is a bittersweet day for my
family and I. One year ago today my husband lost his best friend and our
children lost their god-father, Gary Ward Crawford, after only a three month battle with cancer. He left
behind a wife and three beautiful children ages 5, 8 and 16. Cancer is a devastating
disease that affects more people now than ever before and I.hate.it.with.a.passion!! Today is bitter
because this day a year ago the world lost

A Legacy of Grace...
This week my lovely mother would have celebrated her 70th
birthday. I think it’s ironic that over the past few weeks I have come across so
many people who have told me how special my mother was to their lives. Wow, considering it's been 5 years since she's gone on to be with the Lord!
They don’t know how much that meant to me. I always knew my mother was special! She was what you would call a quiet spirit. For
as long as I’d known her, I never saw
The essence of friendship...
My blog post is a little different this week. In
memory of my husband’s best friend and our children’s god-father (who passed
away last week), I wrote this letter to him as a tribute to his friendship and
wanted to share it. I’m sure if any of you have ever lost someone you loved,
