I was saying to myself just last week how I should post some more about parenting. Would you know, I was watching "Morning Joe" this morning - well actually I was sleeping in and my husband came into the bedroom to tell me to turn the t.v. to "MJ". Anywho, I was intrigued by their guest Jennifer Senior, author of "All Joy and No Fun: The Paradox of Modern Parenthood". Obviously, I've had my head in the sand when it came to this book as I

"Michell's Weekly Pearl"...(In Need of Some Advice)
Hi
everyone! Thanks for
joining me for another edition of "Michell's Weekly Pearl", where I seek Godly wisdom to offer encouragement. If this is your first time visiting, let me tell you a little about my advice series. This is where you can ask me anything on marriage, women's issues, family matter s, relationships, parenting, homemaking, or life in general. If you want an honest, biblically based, to the point answer; email me your questions via prowessandpearls@gmail.com (please
put "MWP" in the subject area). I'll post your question, along with my
answer, anonymously. Easy as that! To read all the questions and answers in this series, you
can do so (HERE).
Keep sending those questions in!!! In the meantime, read on to see what "In Need of Some Advice" asked...
I remember when...
Okay, first and foremost I must say that Spring Break was a

Oooooweeee!!!!
We had an awesome time at the beach! Unfortunately, my
husband and son-in-law couldn’t make it, *insert sad face here*! So, it was just me and

this was frowned upon by others, now it’s looked upon as the “cool” thing to
do. There was a time when parents would get embarrassed and do something about
it, nowadays
What's right is right...what's wrong is wrong!
Every now and then I’ll get on my “soapbox”…today just
happens to be one of those days! ;-) We live in a society full of
“enablers”…you know, people who approve,
facilitate, make excuses for, authorize
and give the “okay” to other people’s actions; regardless of whether those
actions are good or bad. You see this lapse
in judgment everywhere you go…parents with their children, friends with other
friends, spouses with each other…the list goes on and on. My husband and I have
always told our kids, “we will always love you, but right is right and wrong is
WRONG”; it’s called INTEGRITY folks. Integrity is the adherence to moral and
ethical principles, soundness of moral character, a sound, unimpaired
condition; simply put…honesty! As a
parent, I WILL NOT
